Maternity, Leadership and Career Development Coach
Every maternity coaching engagement with me is bespoke and tailored to your needs, people want different things from their career and parenthood so our coaching will be based on your goals.
This is around 30 mins and the main purpose if for us to get to know eachother and discuss your context. By the end of our chat we'll establish a timetable for coaching. Some people want to start with maternity leave planning before their leave, others want to weight the sessions for their return to work.
These sessions allow us to prepare a detailed maternity plan including your handover, how you want to be communicated with whilst on leave (and your KIT days). This also provides a safe space for you to discuss any fears or concerns about becoming a parent, contingency planning (e.g. for required bedrest), and any fears about the impact of your leave on your career.
We'll discuss how you are planning your KIT days, communication with work and how you are feeling about returning to work. We will explore what a successful return to work looks like for your context and establish the boundaries and golden rules that need to be put in place to achieve them. We will also work through my practical guide to returning to work to ensure advance planning as far as possible.
Coaching around this phase is normally focussed around boundary setting, confidence, time management, communication and EQ (using DiSC), identity and managing expectations. These sessions are nomally spaced such that the coaching covers at least the first 6 months back at work to ensure a sustainable pattern of work and routine is established
I offer all my clients the opportunity of a free 20 - 30 min 'check in' throughout my coaching journey with them. As maternity coaching can span a considerable period of time I recognise that issues may crop up outside of our sessions that need immediate support.
